In the final stage of group play Tunisia, Senegal, and Morocco were undefeated over six games.
Tunisia is the highest FIFA ranked team from Africa and finished with the most points in the region. Tunisia defeated two World Cup qualifiers from different regions over it's last two games. They defeated North America's #2 Costa Rica 1-0 and Asia's #1 Iran 1-0.
Morocco did not concede a goal during the final group stage but managed only three victories and three ties during the span. Although Morocco finished with the fewest points among qualified teams, they earned the best goal differential at +11 and defeated region leader Tunisia 1-0 in 2017. In their last friendly with a World Cup caliber team on 3/23/18, Morocco defeated Serbia 2-1.

Tunisia has a difficult road ahead in the World Cup being placed in a group with Belgium and England. Morocco has the toughest group with two top 10 teams in Spain and Portugal and Asia's #1 qualifier Iran. Egypt has the best chance to advance from their group of Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Uruguay.
