The FRENCH ARE THE NEWEST CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD.

So the final whistle has been blown, France are the champions of the world. What an impressive performance by the whole French team. There has never of the late been any team that has talent so stacked up from top to bottom. Every player in the French squad can play the full 90 mins and give a wonderful performance. Even their bench strength is so good.

From the quarterfinals loss to Germany in 2014 world cup to rebuilding an altogether new squad in 2018 France has done a commendable job. (Hope Argentina learns a lesson from this and turns it around in next World cup).France breathed fire with their game. They had so much passion and spirit. Rightly the crown rests on their Forehead.

Didier Deschamps becomes the first man to win the world cup as a player as well as coach. He has so well marshaled this squad of young and talented boys brimming with confidence to glory. And when I look who better to win it than the man who has got Champs in his name itself.

The whole French squad played exceptionally well Greizmen, Umtiti, Pogba, Kante. Varane, Lucas everyone. But the one guy who stood out for me was Kylian Mbappe. It is truly coming to the world stage moment. And what a way to finish off this world cup for him than to score in the final itself. Perfectly deserved. I think Real should try and buy him just to bring back the Zip in El Classico Or Neymar will be on the move once again to get out of his shadow.

And now to Croatia. Hard luck to them. They also have played some very good football throughout the tournament. Some very close finishes for them. Modric and Rakitic have put my faith back the midfield part of the field. It has been very long since somebody controlled the midfield like Xavi and Inesita did. Loved watching their game.
I think fatigue played a bigger role today in their loss. They got 1day less rest than France. And all those matches that they had taken to extra time meant that many of the players were not at their best. Many of the Neutrals wanted Croatia to win it for they were the underdogs today but everyone knew the technical superiority that France possessed. The world cup for me had ended long before exactly on 30th June (ARGENTINA was knocked out of the tournament by FRANCE) but it was the midfield game of Modric that kept me glued to the TV set. He is the one who deserves The Golden ball the most.
