What if the Third World War breaks out tomorrow?

in #world7 months ago

The history of humanity is filled with both small and large wars. However, if a Third World War were to occur, it could be the largest war humanity has ever witnessed. It would involve advanced technology, massive armies, and more intricate strategies. The question arises: which countries would participate, and how would these wars begin? People have been talking about the possibility of a Third World War for decades. This thought originated during the Cold War between Russia and the United States in the 1960s, but fortunately, we managed to avoid it.

Let's imagine that next time we are not as lucky. When could the Third World War happen? Predicting this is quite challenging. World wars could start due to the assassination of prominent political figures, intelligence threats, or disputes over valuable resources. However, discussing it in this way increases the likelihood of a war breaking out. Still, it's essential to remember that the probability of a world war is much lower than one might think. For a world war to occur, it must encompass the entire world. Since 1945, the world has witnessed various wars, including Vietnam, Afghanistan, and numerous civil wars. The global structure has changed since 1945, with countries not being as close allies as before. Armies are more equipped and powerful than ever.

In today's age, millions of people could die with the use of certain weapons and tools by countries. Rather than seeing wars fought on land, sea, or in the sky, wars could potentially take place in space. Soldiers might engage in battles over armed satellites that could impact those below. Although these concepts may seem like they are straight out of a science fiction film, it is crucial to remember how terrifying these weapons are, and hopefully, no one will need to use them. After all, such things are designed to kill people.

There might not be as many soldier corpses on the ground as in the First and Second World Wars. The wars of the future could be fought with computers. Drones, artificial intelligence, and robots might be the only things on the battlefield. However, there is also a possibility that future war actions might not involve any violence. Cutting off other countries' electricity and seizing their computers could be a possibility.

So, what could this war be about? Some people predict it could be related to resources, especially water, as freshwater becomes increasingly scarce and valuable. During the Second World War, the United States dropped nuclear bombs on Japan, killing over 100,000 people. The recovery of the affected cities took decades. The two nuclear bombs used in World War II pale in comparison to the modern nuclear bombs we have today. Currently, there are approximately 14,000 nuclear warheads worldwide, held by countries such as the United States, Russia, China, and others.

A nation might have all the resources, people, and strategies it wants, but if a nuclear bomb is dropped on them, the game is over. If one country drops a nuclear bomb on another, what could prevent that country from responding in kind? Who would win this war? Certainly, no one. A full-fledged Third World War would have a significant impact on the entire world. We can say that the world will never be the same again.

But don't lose sleep over it. After all, it is incredibly improbable for such a Third World War, involving dozens of countries, to start tomorrow. If two countries were to have a conflict, it is more likely that non-involved countries would stay that way and allow other nations to fight on their behalf. Overall, wars are terrible; let's try to avoid
