The Blue Whale
Yesterday I was reading something about this Blue Whale Challenge and how over 100 teens committed suicide because of this sick game. To be honest , I found it a little bit insane , how can someone take his/her own life just because someone tells them to do it.It should not even be considered playing this game.So i decided to read more about it , and it actually made my mind explode.
It all started in 2013 , when a Russian boy (21 year old) named Philipp Budeikin invented this sick suicide game.He is arrested on charges of inciting teenagers to kill themselves by playing the Blue Whale Challenge.He accepted the crime and claims that he is “cleaning society”.Budeikin thinks that his victims were “biological waste” but I think that the insane thing here is that according to him they were happy to die.
Another thing that blows my mind is the fact that according to the Russian authorities , the suspect receives love letters from teenage girls providing their addresses.
But what is the Blue Whale Challenge?
The Blue Whale is a game which consist on encouraging vulnerable teens to kill themselves by completing 50 tasks.Those are self harming tasks and in the end of this game you have to kill you self. But wait , why should anybody do that? The game is believed to be on an online media secret group.The game has an administrator(curator) who provides the self harming tasks to the teenagers who join the game. Some of the tasks include waking up at 4:20Am and watching horror movies or videos given by the curator.The players must take a photography or video of the task and send it to the curator in order to prove the accomplishment of the task.After completing the tasks given during these days,the last task is to end your own life. I think this is scary and authorities should avoid as soon as possible the spreading of this game.
But what are the exact 50 tasks we are talking about?
1.On the arm blade cut f57 (blue whale, 4: 20)
2.Wake up at 4:20 and watch scary video
3.Cut lengthwise veins of the arm (not deep) only three cuts
4.Draw a whale on a piece of paper
5.If you’re ready to become a whale you write “yes” on the blade leg, if not, do with their hands whatever you want (doing a lot of cuts and so on)

Parents also play a very big role on this. They should find the time to talk to their children about this, maybe not say the whole story because children may not understand it pretty well but they should teach them how to say NO , especially to strangers .Or if some stranger tries to get in touch with the child, the child must immediately go to their parents and tell them what is going on. Lives are in great danger and if we do not do nothing to protect out lives or our beloved ones, then what is the point. So please parents, find enough time and talk everyday to your child to avoid these bad things from happening.
