THE BATTLE FOR THE GLOBAL SOUTH: A Narrative on Race, Injustice and Imbalance.
For decades western civilization has been the primal credo of western policy makers, and this idea like none other has rabidly shaped our world in the most offensive of ways and would perhaps remain validly useful in providing a glimpse into some of the inexplicable moments of human history. From domestic politics to foreign policy, this idea ultimately defined the thought process and engagement between the Global North and the Global South. While this idea no doubt has to its credit a trajectory of courageous socio-political and economic struggle in the advancement of human societies, its core effect on the Global South is often misplaced.
On the contrary, western civilization foisted indignity on its victims and reinforced their sense of inferiority as much as it ennobled its champions. Its racial dimension of “dualism” sanctioned imbalance, injustice and crimes against coloured people in an anarchist international system which justified the unquestionable superiority of the North. This often contentious debate seldom put in context the primordial attributes of western civilization ambient to the awful burden of development in the Global South, global conflict, terrorism, inequality and tension in our world today.
