If he did not know about the payment until after he made his financial statement than he did not lie. He never said when he found out about the payments. He only said he found out after the fact.
Payments for non disclosure contracts is not a crime...
If the money came from campaign funds, it's illegal. If it was repaid by Trump, he didn't disclose it, and that's illegal.
