How close Do you think World War 3 is?

in #world7 years ago

A highly disturbing question nowadays, which is flooding the minds of most of the people around the globe is that is our world on the brink of a war? Or worse, a Nuclear War? Over the last decade this question has rocketed to the top ranks in the list of global issues due to continuous advancement in warfare and nuclear technologies. After a recent report by the North Korean Central News Agency, North Korea threatened a nuclear strike on US, if they tried to remove Kim Jong Un as the Supreme Leader of North Korea. This threatening statement has been very effective in creating a mixed emotion of fear and anxiety in the hearts of people around the world. Sharing my views on this question, I feel that even in today’s world, where almost every advanced facility relating to paramedics and medical sciences is available, a nuclear war would result in a massive loss of human life and property. Or even a more disastrous aftermath, concluded by experts all over the world is, global extinction. It is mind boggling to imagine a world without any life. A nuclear war would be followed by a nuclear holocaust. And even if the human race would escape the threats of global extinction. The radioactive fallouts from these nuclear weapons will result in a huge collapse of civilization. We are very well known to the effects of radiations from nuclear and atomic weapons. The radiations not only affect the ongoing generation, but also the generations to come. As we see in the case of Hiroshima-Nagasaki, the effects of radiations from the bombings in 1945 were so powerful, that even today, after 72 years, children there are still born crippled or with physical and mental disabilities. We discussed about the bigger picture, which was global extinction, but even the smaller picture isn’t much pleasing. Even on a small scale, a nuclear attack, or use of ballistic warheads or missile torpedoes can be a great addition to human sufferings. Even a small attack charged with nuclear weapons is enough to finish a politically, economically, geographically and socially well-established country. Nuclear energy is a powerful source of energy, and it’s better if it is used for the welfare of human civilization rather than its destruction. As the famous saying concludes “With great power, comes great responsibility”, Nuclear Energy needs to be used judicially. Fossil fuels like coal and petroleum are towards their extinction. So it is pretty clear that the future of energy resources is NUCLEAR ENERGY. We can either make a productive use of it or a destructive use of it.
Thank You for reading. These were my views on Nuclear Energy and Nuclear Warfare, I would love to hear your opinions on this agenda.

World War 3 is already here... Muslim Extremists vs the World

If humans have learnt anything from history, I assume they did, then letting another world war happen is just reckless and lack of ability to learn from history.

Why do you consider Nuclear Energy as being the one and only alternative to coal and gas etc? What abour solar, water, wind, power storage - given, we survive the next 5-10 years without a WW III?
