Hello my dear Steemians,
While in hot summer day people feel tired and sweat a lot the only cool area and place for escape is church. The other good side of visiting church or cathedral will be decoration and work of old masters in painting of walls, decorative carving of wood and of course, golden cross and other stuff made for people who visiting church.
I love these two views and glad that managed to capture them.
It's beautiful, quiet, and cool... Today is the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, and I slept through the services...

There are no statues in Orthodox churches, but there are many wooden icons.

Indeed orthodox churches have very beautiful and good wooden works and I also love icons, hand made works with a lot of details.
