Self-Esteem

Self-esteem is the set of perceptions, thoughts, feelings and evaluations we have of ourselves, of our way of being, and of our body and character traits. In short, it is the perceptual evaluation of ourselves.

This perception can change over time: from the age of five or six, children begin to form the concept of how they are seen by themselves and others.

Healthy self-esteem allows people to face life with greater confidence, benevolence and optimism, and consequently, to more easily achieve their goals and self-fulfillment.

This photograph, from my personal archive, was taken some years ago during a trip to a sunflower field located in the western plains of Venezuela.

As I have described in previous publications, I used the editing tools offered by Picsart and Snapseed applications to intervene the original image to my satisfaction.

Autoestima

La autoestima es el conjunto de percepciones, pensamientos, sentimientos y valoraciones que tenemos de nosotros mismos, de nuestra manera de ser, y de los rasgos de nuestro cuerpo y nuestro carácter. En pocas palabras, es la evaluación perceptiva de nosotros mismos.

Esta percepción puede cambiar con el transcurso del tiempo: a partir de los cinco o seis años de edad, los niños comienzan a formar el concepto sobre cómo son vistos por sí mismos y por el resto de las personas.

Una autoestima sana permite a las personas enfrentarse a la vida con una mayor confianza, benevolencia y optimismo, y en consecuencia, alcanzar más fácilmente sus objetivos y autorrealizarse.

Esta fotografía perteneciente a mi archivo personal, la tomé algunos años atrás durante un recorrido que realizáramos a un sembradío de girasoles ubicado en los llanos occidentales de Venezuela.

Tal como lo he descrito en publicaciones anteriores, usé las herramientas de edición que ofrecen las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed para intervenir las imágenes originales a mi entera satisfacción.
