Introduction

Employment is a hot topic in every nation around the world. It is no wonder how it became globalized. The search for lucrative or even rewarding jobs has tripled over time as nations keep recording increases in birth rates and population. In no time, the age group 16-64 (labor force) in a society skyrockets. When this occurs, we see a large number of active individuals who do not have anything tangible to engage in hence, the increase in social vices and menace. Unemployment cripples a nation as the youth instead of making the society productive, are left idle, meddling in dangerous activities to earn a living. Some even become nuisances in the neighborhood.

The globalization of the labor market is so because it is a worldwide issue. Primarily, the distribution of jobs or positions to workers with the said matched skill has been challenging to the global market. In certain instances, jobs may be available but employers go through hurdles in getting the right individual for that need. Likewise, for other situations, a society like India and other developing countries is packed with numerous skilled individuals in the labor force however, there are insufficient employers to recruit them. Keeping up with job globalization has not been easy with the global economy as well. Although various employment recruitment platforms have been created thanks to digital networks and technology to link workers with employers, not much progress has been attained.

Problems with Job Platforms

Lack of trust and efficiency in these digital platforms are factors that hinder the accuracy of matching skilled individuals with employers in need of them across the globe on the recruitment platforms. A means of authenticating skills, working experience, competence, dedication, etc are lacking so, employers also find distributing their resources difficult.

Centralization is another significant hindrance to the effectiveness of these platforms. An individual or group of persons are given access to high-class information about others which may get stolen, fabricated, and used for personal means.

Conclusion

WorkQuest unlike other recruitment platforms created is a decentralized system that will earn the trust of people through the use of blockchain.
