Middle Management UGH! ...Managers you love em or Hate em!
Having a great manager can make all the difference in how work-flow goes, if we are a 'team' it's great. On the other-hand as someone whos worked one job eight years having 13 different managers. I can say it's hard to see some go, but for most it was 'Ding Dong the B*tch is gone'
The best managers are the ones who in my opinion do six things:
- Lead by example
- Be directly involved
- Be motivated and Proactive
- Be knowledgeable
- Be understanding
- Be Firm
- Be accountable
Is that so hard?... obviously it is for many, just because they get it from upper management, they take it out on the employees you will not have a great team, if you come out only to yell out orders, then go back to your desk, or office until the end of the shift, well you should get used to having your ass handed to you by upper management that's all I'm saying.
I'm can't be the only one noticing these people...anyone have a good/bad manager love/hate relationship, ever quit because of management?
