Being a Young Woman at Work- What do Do Early on
Being a young woman at work can be hard.
Older men and women pick on you for your lack of experience and your youth and beauty. It is a liability to be in that position.
The pros to the situation are myriad, though. As a young woman, any victories you gain are seen as miraculous, and there is a ton of support at work.
Find a professional organization and a mentor as soon as you can. It doesnt matter if the mentor is a man or woman, just make sure you do so within yo ur first year. Find a professional organization for your career field, and take a role of responsibility no one else wants. Become the treasurer.
Keep it up. Keep proving that you can do it.
