Barlovento of my first steps
Mis respetos para ustedes comunidad steemiana. Ante todo mis más sinceras palabras de regocijo por la receptividad que me han dado. Valga decir, que me he sentido en casa al entregarles en cada publicación un pedacito de mi vida. Abrazos fraternos a todos.
My respects to you, steemit community. First of all my most sincere words of rejoicing for the receptivity they have given me. Needless to say, I felt at home when I gave them a piece of my life in each publication. Fraternal embraces to all.
Por pura gracia de Dios todopoderoso fui encomendada a una misión de servicio llevando las buenas nuevas de salvación a mi gente venezolana. Mis primeros pasos, como maestra de la Biblia, la Palabra inspirada de Dios comenzó formalmente en suelo Caucagüense, en Barlovento estado Miranda. Aquí comenzó todo.
By the grace of Almighty God I was entrusted to a mission of service bringing the good news of salvation to my Venezuelan people. My first steps, as a teacher of the Bible, the inspired Word of God began formally in Caucagüense soil, in Barlovento state Miranda. Here everything began.
Como se ve en la imagen, nos comenzamos a reunir bajo el nombre Iglesia Bautista Emanuel. Iniciamos unos cuantos, que ya habíamos creído en Jesús como Señor y Salvador. Y poco a poco a través de la Evangelización la obra fue creciendo.
As seen in the image, we began to meet under the name Emanuel Baptist Church. We started a few, that we had already believed in Jesus as Lord and Savior. And little by little through evangelization the work grew.
El trabajo misionero inició con la capacitación de los que habían aceptado seguir a Jesús. Un discipulado que surtió tremendos resultados, porque de allí surgieron los que luego serían líderes de la obra.
The missionary work began with the training of those who had accepted to follow Jesus. A discipleship that produced tremendous results, because from there arose those who would later be leaders of the work.
Nos mudamos a un lugar de más fácil acceso y en mejores condiciones. Esto es porque para llegar al actual debíamos caminar más o menos 40 minutos por un terreno pedregoso. No todos podían llegar con facilidad.
We moved to a place with easier access and in better conditions. This is because to get to the current one we had to walk more or less 40 minutes through stony ground. Not everyone could get there easily.
Allí, junto a mi esposo, comenzó una labor bien especial que comenzó a rendir frutos a corto plazo, porque muchos vecinos de la comunidad se iban acercando a conocer sobre qué estaba ocurriendo en aquél concurrido lugar. La gente llamó más gente, y al cabo de unos pocos meses éramos más de 30 personas en un mismo local que se reuní a oír la Predicación del Evangelio de la Paz.
There, along with my husband, he began a very special work that began to bear fruit in the short term, because many neighbors of the community were getting closer to know what was happening in that busy place. The people called more people, and after a few months we were more than 30 people in the same place that met to hear the Preaching of the Gospel of Peace.
Iniciamos un trabajo misionero con los niños. Muchos de ellos hoy se mantienen en la fe, para la gloria de Dios.
We started a missionary work with the children. Many of them today are kept in faith, for the glory of God.
El crecimiento se fue dando solo, y cada vez la misión exigía nuevos compromisos. Entre ellos, decidimos invertir en cubrir los gastos de transporte de los más necesitados, rentando para ello una buseta que nos llevara cada domingo a lo servicios.
The growth was given alone, and each time the mission demanded new commitments. Among them, we decided to invest in covering the transportation expenses of the most needy, renting for it a bus that will take us every Sunday to the services.
Fue una labor para aprender. No solo una obra práctica que nos exigía nuestra casa de estudios el Seminario Teológico Bautista de Venezuela; si no el lugar en donde Dios había dispuesto que nos encamináramos para dar lo mejor de nosotros. ¡Buen tiempo! no me cabe duda que el mejor lugar para aprender a amar al prójimo y dar la vida si fuera preciso por la iglesia del Señor.
It was a work to learn. Not only a practical work demanded by our house of studies, the Baptist Theological Seminary of Venezuela; if not the place where God had arranged that we set out to give the best of ourselves. Good time! I have no doubt that the best place to learn to love your neighbor and give your life if necessary for the Lord's church.
