Word Poetry Challenge #20: Ocean
Birthed from your womb are countless souls
In your depths and endless bottom bestow
The cradle to genesis, caretaker to life
A stark sillhouette of Poseidon's might
An uncharted realm of the Earth mother
Mysterious blue that feeds the wonder
With an infinity of fathoms that knows no end
And like soothing balm, the broken mend
Quiet and calm, you are elegance and beauty
Yet angered, enraged you take no pity
Ocean, your tides of rise and fall
The sapphire bore witness to it all
Within you are secrets and treasures untold
Countless answers your depths behold
Ocean you are enigma barely understood
Where life begins, and will finally conclude.
