Word Poetry Challenge #7 : MEMORIES
Alzheimer's
His head is a space full of mysteries,
of forgetfulness.
He doesn't remember his life
has been erased.
Before their eyes gone
his memory has slipped.
Digging into the ancient scent,
fishing for the lost minutes,
in the tangle of its autumn forest,
the search fails. There's nothing there.
Just a bunch of elusive sounds,
fragments, missing pieces.
Those who accompany her
they look at her like they're losing her.
They remember her in the house and on the street
bright, free, confident she is.
Now an abyss lies in his eyes,
a dark infinite.
Before the eyes
of the children,
the memories
fade away
She's been canceled, too.
Oh what A beautiful poem written with so much passion...
