RE: Sharing a Friend's Short Story

in #wordchallenge6 years ago (edited)

Interesting story! I wonder if this is based on true life or a fictional product.

Either way, it was a very good production. The "fantasy world" introduction was amusing. I had a good laugh! But sometimes daydreaming makes our day. For as long as we do not totally live in our dreams and it has no cost anyway, so why not? Right?

The main actor Jed did a very good gesture of not storming his father's mistress, aunt Mila, and instead kept his cool. His control gave him the chance to better understand his aunt Mila. If he lost control, it could just lead to more misunderstanding between them. This is one thing that everyone should learn to control anger and emotion.

It is sad that Jed got to know his father only when the father is already dead. Though, nature has its way. Overall, your story gives us a moral lesson of not quickly judging a book by its cover which applies in all walks of life. We never know what is happening inside someone's life until we become at least a piece of it.

Great composition you have there!

Edit: By the way, I featured your blog here: Pay it forward: A lipstick and queen without a crown.

It is an entry to this: Pay It Forward Curation Contest (Kaya English ang comment ko hehehe...)

Hello @macoolette! Thank you so much for taking time reading my post. I highly appreciate your gesture. I did not expect that this short story would be accepted in such a warm manner but my intention is to purely share to others my bestfriend's experience that answers to your doubt if this true to life or fictional. Indeed, this is a true story. I am so grateful that you find my story valuable and featured it to @Pay It Forward Curation Contest.

Your bestfriend's story is indeed worth sharing for others to learn the value of controlling emotion, not judging from premature assumptions and listening to understand others. Thank you for sharing it. 😊

Really happy that @macoolette gave a translated summary of the story and then quoted parts to help show the real flow of your story. It's a story that sadly happens to far to many people these days with split families.
