Word Poetry Challenge #11 : Home

Some say
home
is where the heart is
where you belong
that home
is where you feel at peace
a place
a body
a feeling

Some
have no home
have had home
torn from them
as a hurricane ripped through their hearts
a landslide crushed their dreams
a plague of politics raped their culture

Home
less.

But how can we be homeless
on an earth with so much home to give?
home to make
create
never too late...
That's our fate.

And because spoken word is edgy but this sounds so loudly spoken in my head... I recorded myself reading it! (Ah vulnerable!) It was a fun process.
