wow it just gets better and better.... It wouldn't work on this project but have you ever used tru-oil? Its made for gunstocks and you put it on in coats and you can buff it to a high gloss.... It is awesome stuff. I have found it in the gun section in walmart for about 8 bucks a bottle. (pretty small bottle)
I havent't tried it. Ace has watco by the gallon for $25. Good enough for me. I find prep and polish more important than which goop it is.
