My Dads Messy Ass Workshop

I had a few projects in mind to start today and I needed power tools to do them right. (If I can actually do something right) The First project I started when I got there was makeing ring blanks that may look cool I made two but ended up breaking one while trying to mount it to my makeshift lathe. (Makeshift + lathe = a terrible idea that might end in permanent injury or death)((More about that in my next post))

The Bandsaw Blues

Heres me cutting the top and bottom pieces of the first blank (the one that eventually broke) and also a pic of my middle layer I was using

So here are the pictures of the blanks both put together with wood glue (no more of that krazy glue hopes and dreams bullshit) and held together with clamps.

Advice

If you have errands to do or anything do that because sitting and waiting for glue to dry is essentially what purgatory is.
BTW the first pic below this is the one that ended up broken. (Being neither sorry nor careful gets you here folks)


So after waiting a half an hour (that lasted 10 years) I drilled a hole in the center and then cut it out on the bandsaw as shown ((if you're doing this project or plan on doing it a jigsaw or an handsaw would also work here)) That's all i got done today I don't know when ill go back to my dads but pics of progress (and/or failure) are sure to come when I do.
