Fibroid in nigeria

It's obvious fibroid is well-known tumor around the globe,every corner of the world are aware of it,which put our love one's in pain and suffering from conceiving a child,fibroid makes women look pregnant without expecting a child.many women go about with protruding stomach even when they're not pregnant,its now common to see women looking fat at there waist region,

research tells many of these women are suffering from fibroid. Today in Nigeria fibroid are widespread statistics from hospital as revealed that at least one in every four Nigerian women will develop one or more fibroids in her life time,quite a number of women including celebrities have been linked to complication arising from fibroids.today there seems to be epidemic of fibroids among Nigerian women,more pathetic is the fact that myth and conception about fibroids have tied many women to the pains of fibroid out of ignorance(scared to be operated)the delay treatment later turn down to surgery when there is no more alternatives.one of the myth is that womb would be removed through hysterectomy (surgical removal of uteris)

however research says medical expert have traced rising cases of fibroid to the late marriage and conception, according to them these factors are currently fuelling cases of fibroids, many African women are no longer following the trend of our ancestors whose they married off their daughters early in the olden days for various reason because women of today want to acquire wealth and don't want to be controlled by any men and leads to their late marriage which could cause the hormones (estrogens) in the uterus to malfunction.

in a report chief consultant radiotherapist and on cologist, national hospital abuja Nigeria (dr abdul rasaq oyesegun)said"fibroid was on the increase , he said the uterus was designed to carry baby when such did not happen the muscles in the uterus will increase to the point that it will become fibroid,he futherly said there is an increase in the accident of fibroids among women these days because women now get married late and the only way to curb it is for women to marry early".
