Bougainvillea alba.
The other day I was driving through a nearby village when I saw this bloomed white bougainvillea on the side of the road. It was so beautiful that I couldn’t resist to the urge to stop the car and take a few shots of it!
Bougainvillea’s origin is South America and, if I am not mistaken, comes from Brazil but it has become an integral element of the Greek islands scenery. The picture of a small white house with a bloomed bougainvillea in front of it, is almost iconic for the Greek tourist industry.
For this shot I preferred a more intimate approach :)
