I'm going to go ahead and jump on the bandwagon here and say please vote for your witnesses!
I never gave much thought to witness voting before the events yesterday, I still don't honestly know exactly what they do. But apparently they are super important to the survival of the blockchain that we all know and love.

The takeover occurred when certain nefarious parties (who shall remain nameless) managed to leverage stakes and get the top 20 witness slots allocated to the same person.
The distinguishing mark of these nefarious characters is that they are running Steem version 22.5
So go to the above link and vote for anybody but those running 22.5!
