WITNESSWATCH-REPORT : A way to monitor and get personal with your witnesses. Get to know them and their motivation.
Greeting to all steemians, so after listening to @timcliff and the @steemittalk podcast crew on discord, as well as getting some updates and understanding certain concepts from @aggroed, I was compelled to start a report on our witnesses, the people who take charge of our transactions and validates them on the blockchain.

Having already discussed what a witness is and providing links in here, this post and upcoming reports go on to address the issues which was laid out in the post provided.

Why start this project?
I for one have always been a lover and promoter of steemit. I have been following steemit for a long time, before I signed up. First of, this project hopes to give everyday users and average steemians a look into what drives and motivates the witnesses which run our transactions, which witness is worthy of our votes and the plans these witnesses have for the steemit community both now and the future.
The second reason I can say for the creation of this report is to keep witnesses on their toes at all times, to create healthy competition between witnesses(top 20 is a priced possession, trust me)

Why the continuous campaign for votes?
Do certain witnesses become lazy as they get to top 20?
Can the top 20 be replaced?

Updates regarding any other aspects will be giving as time goes by.

This is exactly what i hope to achieve, get more people in tune with witnesses,lest they fade away into the background and become mystical.

I think it's very important for voters to know who they are voting for and why. Any and all information can help people make an informed decision .
