📯 Monthly witness report for blckchnd №1 and RuDEX update

in #witness6 years ago (edited)

Welcome!
In the spirit of making our activity more transparent we’ve decided to start publishing monthly reports on our work as a Bitshares witness. Start of the new year is a good time to start doing it, since it is a milestone that you can look back from and see that a lot of small steps resulted in a long journey.

If you like what we’re doing, you can support us by voting for our witness blckchnd

Technical work

We've been supporting an interrupted service of our access point for Bitshares DEX in RuDEX with the following technical park:

You can see the list of our servers by looking in our witness thread on bitsharestalk

This month due to the significantly increased load we’ve added two additional servers for full API nodes (one public, one for our internal use):

  • Type: Dedicated
  • Processor: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-1650 v2 @ 3.50GHz
  • Cores: 4
  • Ram: 128 GB DDR3
  • 2 x 220 GB SSD
  • Connection: 1 Gbit/s
  • Location: Germany

We also support gateway for Steem, Golos, Peerplays, Muse, and recently for Karma and Decent

Additionally we’re active in bitshares github, including pull requests and bug reports. You can track our activity here

Awareness and outreach activities

We’ve started this as an awareness and outreach mission, that we’re diligently working on to this day.
Other than creating and maintaining first Russian interface for Bitshares, our team has translated and published several hundred articles about Bitshares Dex, including weekly State of the Network reports that are produced by @steempower
In last three months the number of such articles was over fifty, with 17 of them published during December 2017.
You can see them in more detail by looking at our blog on Steemit.

As part of our mission to bring Graphene technology to mass awareness and acceptance we’ve presented Bitshares and RuDEX at X conferences in St. Petersburg and Moscow (not counting our participation in SteemFest and SteemFest2).

For the same reason we’ve also created and are moderating Russian language developer chats.
We’re also actively moderating Russian language threads on bitcointalk, which is now more than 15 pages in length (18,5k views).

We’ve requested TradingView to add Bitshares DEX into the exchange list, and you can support this by liking and commenting on this thread.

On top of that we’re helping several teams that are working on creating their own interfaces and/or businesses based on Bitshares DEX.
It seems that our bad influence is contagious. :)

RuDEX update

A new version of RuDEX clients for Windows/Linux/macOS is available at our Github here

Thank you for your time, now we can get back to work, since our moto is less talk, more action.

greetings from here in thailand and respect to good work of RuDex on BitShares network!

Cheers! :-D

A good motto. I like rudex for its stability.

Yes, but we need bitshares DEX servers in Russia for better connect.

We will start public API-node in Russia as well.

I like the look of the Rudex ATM . Do you have an article with more information on it? (I tried scanning the QR code, but it says the campaign has been discontinued.)

We're working on having some Bitshares ATMs, and this was our first attempt (and yeah, there should be a video somewhere where we've showed how it works, and that it works), but our deal to place those atms all over the place (in Russia) didn't work out. But we're planning to have Bitshares ATM, we'll announce it when we work something out.
