RE: Steem Consensus Witness Statement : Hardfork 0.23 (Codename: New Steem)

Okay, since you're a business man I'll give you a good example.

Let's say you got some Tesla Stocks.

Now, 80% of the employees of Tesla, leave Tesla, and create their own Car company. They create a new stock for the new company and hand it out to SOME of the old stakeholders.

However, you didn't get any. Does this mean money/stocks of you got stolen? Or does this just mean that you just had bad luck?

I'm sure you won't think they stole money from you.

Now the other example.

Imagine Elon Musk is now angry about this, and takes away stocks from existing stakeholders.

Is this a crime? Yes of course it is. Those people legitimately purchased those stocks. Only because they also invested in the new company it doesn't give Elon the right to steal their stocks, nowhere they signed a paper that investing in other electric car companies is illegal.
