NOBLEWITNESS UPDATE - Back on 19.12
Another week down, another witness update from the @noblewitness team! Thank you to everyone voting for us. We will continue to earn your votes!
Server Status
After the kerfuffle a couple of days ago, our server is back to version 19.12. Everything is running smoothly, and we managed to avoid missing any blocks during the situation. Kudos to the top witnesses and Steemit, Inc. for their swift response in resolving the situation!
What had happened, near as anyone can tell, is that someone attempted to upvote a post within 12 hours of the payout window closing. Currently, a user can't upvote a post that close to the payout window closing. However, Hardfork 20 allows for upvoting posts within that window. Since a number of witnesses were running version 20 of the blockchain, that action was passed into a block that attempted to be signed into the chain. Unfortunately, the official chain version didn't support voting in that period, so the blockchain rejected the block.
A similar thing happened several months ago when the blockchain froze. It was a different bug, but the effect was the same. The blockchain stopped in order to protect the integrity of the chain, and our witnesses were on the ball looking for a fix. Then as now, that fix came out rapidly, and downtime was reduced to only a handful of hours. Again, kudos to everyone who discovered the source of the problem and helped restore functionality!
Current Projects
Steem.Agency - Steem has been the basis for a plethora of programs and apps. Unfortunately, there are many that are no longer supported. Sometimes the Steemian that developed the app decides to move on, or they don't have the funding to continue development. Well, @sircork has revived a number of tools through his website Steem.Agency. There are also a number of links to our witness and the initiatives we support, such as YouAreHOPE and Steemshelves.
Steemerica - We've got plans in motion for our very own major Steem conference here in the United States. There are a large number of amazing gatherings already (Steem Creatives comes to mind), but what we'd like to do is have one central event where everyone can come. Steem in the United States! If you'd like more information, give @steemerica a follow.
Steemfiesta Peru - @sircork is going down to South America to represent the @noblewitness team in Peru. He’s peerless when it comes to marketing and branding, so we expect great things from him going down there. It’s also going to be a great opportunity for him to expand YouAreHope operations in that corner of the globe.
Steemfest Poland - It’s still a little ways away, but our tried and true @gmuxx is going to be representing the witness team at Steemfest. With a little luck, @rhondak will be accompanying him on the trip as well.
Closing Thoughts
Despite the shakeup earlier with witnesses running Hardfork 20, once Sept. 25th rolls around, we're going to be seeing some great changes. We're all excited to see the Steem blockchain grow and improve!
In the business world, the rearview mirror is always clearer than the windshield.
You ain't kidding lol. That's alright. It's learning from your mistakes that's important. We're all bound to make them, but we shouldn't repeat them.

But be advised, this information is subject to change and is already out of date as we evolve the organizing along, with the latest list already up to 11 speakers confirmed and a website almost ready to launch to get the information out to all as soon as it develops along the way over the coming months.
General early response and consensus as we share news about the excitement, is that this might be the biggest ever event and gathering of steemians to happen yet in a single location for the steem platform.
