Managed Services For Witnesses
My managed service includes a hardened and fast network at your choice of datacenter, ongoing update services, kernel patches (no reboot required) technical and security issues support, managed firewall and 24 hour proactive monitoring for our witness nodes. "Proactive" means if your server crashes in the middle of the night, on your vacation, or even when you are simply away from your computer for a little while, we'll deal with getting it back up and online. You can think of it as your 'rest-easy' plan.
I have servers that have been running for thousands of consecutive days, which means I take uptime seriously and my datacenters are solid. The Steem network needs reliable decentralized witness and other decentralized nodes and I am comfortable saying I can help with this.
You can pay in Steem, or many other cryptos or traditional forms of payment if you feel like hanging onto your Steem.
For serious witnesses, the most important consideration is by will be adding to the diversity of the witness pool, because you will be decentralizing the location of your witness, which is a core fundamental of any blockchain. Right now many of the top witnesses and backups are in the same datacenters and if those datacenters go offline for any reason, everyone is hoping the backups nodes will be able to take on the load. Instead of hoping, consider decentralizing.
