One thing I see, improving Steem's performance and stability right from the getgo is if there where more public nodes, so many more applications are able to connect.

Before we would all rely on Steem's Public Nodes and then some of the well-known Witnesses booted up their own Node to help out Steem.

But since times are changing and brand new Witnesses are showing up, please also consider Steems need for more pipelines so data can travel faster and with many more connections so as to not bottleneck the system.

Although steemd fully supports WebSockets (wss:// and ws://) public nodes typically do not. All nodes listed use HTTPS (https://). If you require WebSockets for your solutions, please consider setting up your own steemd node or proxy WebSockets to HTTPS using lineman.

Full Nodes online

With only Three community Full Nodes and one Steemit Node, we have 4 Full RPC nodes in total for a Platform that is as big as this Steem.

Top 20 Witnesses

I think its only fair to ask that the top 20 witnesses try to set up a full RPC node so we can further strengthen the network. Also allowing for multiple API points if issues arise with a node or a time out or maintenance. This was one of the things that should have been a top priority and should even now be more important.

I believe sooner than later more of these Public nodes will shut down meaning, in reality, we might just be having Steemits and I also have a feeling that will soon fail or stops for a bit.

Beefy Server!

The Server has to be very beefy!! So I will start setting one up I am thinking around a 128GB -256GB, of course, I will check out all stats and the pricing will be a bitch, but let's see.
