Etwa 10 km von Neuburg entfernt befindet sich inmitten des Donaumooses das "Haus im Moos", eine Umweltbildungsstätte, Freilichtmuseum und Tagungsstätte. Neben einigen originalen Häusern gibt es hier vieles zu erleben und zu bestaunen. Vor allem das Entdecken ist hier besonders groß geschrieben und verschiedene Wege durch das Gelände führen an uns zu den Wisenten und anderen Tieren, durch die Landschaften des Mooses, die Pflanzen und die Kultur.
About 10 km from Neuburg is located in the middle of the Danube Moss the "Haus im Moos", an environmental education center, open-air museum and conference center. In addition to some original houses, there is much to experience and marvel at. Above all, the discovery is particularly important here and various paths through the area lead us to the bison and other animals, through the landscapes of the moss, the plants and the culture.
Neben den Bienen und Bibern sind die Wisente natürlich der Hingucker schlechthin. Mit meiner Foto- und Videodokumentation möchte ich das Wisentprojekt unterstützen und mit Bildern und Videos versorgen, die für die Neugestaltung der Internetseite verwendet werden.
In addition to the bees and beavers, the bison are of course the eye-catcher. With my photo and video documentation, I would like to support the Wisent Project and provide them with images and videos that are used for the redesign of the website.
Die ersten 53 Bilder habe ich heute geliefert und als Ausgleich ein wunderbares Buch über das polnische Auswilderungsprojekt bekommen. Weiterhin steht im Raum die nächsten Wisente bei der Überführung nach Rumänien zu begleiten. Mir wäre zwar die Überführung ins Altai Gebirge in Sibirien lieber, aber der Transport dahin ist für die Tiere unzumutbar lang.
I delivered the first 53 pictures today and got a wonderful book about the Polish release into the wild project. Furthermore, I could accompany the next bisons in the transfer to Romania. Although I would prefer the transfer to the Altai Mountains in Siberia, but the transport there is unacceptable long for the animals.

BEERfrom @eii for you. Enjoy it!Die Lüneburger Heide würde nicht bestehen können, ohne die Heidschnucken, die das Gelände offen halten und die Verbuschung verhindern. Haben die Wisente eine ähnliche Bedeutung für den Erhalt des Donaumoos? Wenn die Herden im Donaumoos viel Zuwachs haben, werden dann von dort Tiere nach Rumänien umgesiedelt?
Ganz genau! Die Verbuschung soll eingedämmt werden, und ein Austausch mit den anderen Haltern soll die genetische Vielfallt erhalten. Nach einer kurzen Pause werde ich die Serie wieder fortführen. Wir haben ja noch keine Kühe und Kälber gesehen :)
