Wise parable of Jesus: Suppose you have a friend, and you go to him at midnight. Luke 11:5

The gospel of Luke relates that Jesus, after his transfiguration, decided to leave the region of Galilee, and headed towards the city of Jerusalem, his final destination. During this trip, he left many spiritual teachings to his disciples, and in particular the parable of the persistent friend.
This wise parable of Jesus is intended to teach the importance of firmness, perseverance, and constancy. Jesus had taught the Lord's Prayer to the disciples, but so that this teaching would not remain empty, he later added this beautiful parable. Men have to ask the Father with insistence, faith, and determination if they want to receive the blessings that are asked to the most high. The Kingdom of God, the dominion or empire of God's perfections, is not for superficial people, the lazy, and those who seek immediate results.
The Kingdom of God is a commitment that does not admit gray, whoever decides to enter must be a determined person and not give up easily in the face of adversity, many times a blessing can take a while to arrive, but those who are patient and know how to wait for the right moment can achieve success in life. As the Lord teaches in this parable, a Christian must be that insistent and repetitive friend with Jesus, because God with his infinite love is always willing to help his children.
With these words, Jesus told the parable:
"Suppose you have a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say, ´Friend, lend me three loaves of bread; a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have no food to offer him.´ And suppose he calls out from his bedroom, ´Don't bother me. The door is locked for the night, and my family and I are all in bed. I can't help you.´ But I tell you this—though he won't do it for friendship's sake, if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence" Luke 11:5-8.
