I WILL BE USING KING SOLOMON AS A CASE STUDY.

A Wise King:

When King David died, his son Solomon became king. Solomon prayed to the Lord and said, "Lord, please give me wisdom and understanding of the people so that I can be a good king as I reign over them."

Wisdom is when someone knows how do good things, and avoid saying and doing wrong or foolish things.

God was pleased that Solomon had asked for wisdom rather than for riches and fame. And so God told him that He would give him a wise mind as well as riches and honour, so that no other king would ever compare with Solomon.

God did this and King Solomon became famous for his wisdom.

               GREAT TEST OF WISDOM

One day two women appeared before King Solomon. The first woman said, "I live in the same house as this other woman. We both gave birth to a child. However, one day her child died and during the night she took her dead child and swopped it for my living baby!" And now she's saying that my child is her own!"

The second woman shouted, "That's not true! This baby is mine and her's was the one that died!"

It was hard to see how this could be settled, as there was no one who could tell the truth about the living child and dead child.

Bring Me a Sword!

King Solomon thought for a while and finally said, "Bring me a sword." And so a sword was brought to the king and he said, "Now, cut the the living child in two and give half to each woman."

Well, the first woman was horrified and cried out to the king, "Oh, my lord, give her the living child and don't kill it."

But, the other woman said, "Then it won't be either mine nor yours, so divide it into two!"

Wise King Solomon spoke again, "Give the living child to the first woman and don't kill it, for she is its mother!" Do you think that was a wise decision?

Yes it was, for what true mother would want her own precious baby to die rather than to give it away so that it could live? All Israel heard of this wise decision and knew that their king had God's wisdom!

How can You be Wise?

If we let God teach us, we too can grow up to be wise people. Wise people do good things and avoid doing wrong or foolish things. Even young children can know the difference between good and wrong things.

Growing to be a Wise Person:

Yes, you can ask God to help you choose to do good and right things, and to say "No" to doing wrong things. If you keep on doing this, then with God's help you will become a wise person.

Solomon has d opportunity to ask for wealth but he chooses wealth from this it can be seen that Solomon was even wise before. All he needs was God final touch.

The wisdom covers all the wealth he wanted and he end up been rich and influential more than His Father David.

Let's pray now and ask God to help us make wise choices in all our various field of life.

Solomon’s wealth was greatly increased (1 Kings 10:1-29). As some Bible resources point out, the 666 talents of gold Solomon received each year (1 Kings 10:14) was worth well over $700 million by today’s standards. “Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen; he had one thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he stationed in the chariot cities and with the king at Jerusalem. The king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stones” (1 Kings 10:26-27).

Additionally Solomon took 13 years to build his own palace (1 Kings 7:1). It was a time of unprecedented wealth and unparalleled prosperity for the kingdom of Israel. True to His word, God had blessed Solomon with great abundance because he had honored Him.

God has given us d go ahead to ask, we should know what to ask and when to ask it.

the bible say is not of him that willet or runneth but he showeth mercy.

Always pray for what u need. Wisdom and grace keep us growing.
