James in his epistle describes to us the characteristics of the wisdom from above: "The wisdom that is from above, is first pure; and then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere." James 3:17

The Bible tells us about two wisdoms: a human wisdom that comes from experience, and a divine one that comes from inspiration: "Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?", 1 Corinthians 1:20, also: "For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, "He catches the wise in their craftiness"", 1 Corinthians 3:19. "This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is eartly, unspiritual, demonic", James 3:15.
The wisdom from above has 8 characteristics: pure, peaceable, gentle, open to reason, merciful, impartial, sincere and bear good fruits.
This wisdom is pure means that it does not hide second intentions, always goes to the point, it is precise and accurate.
That it is peaceful means that it is harmonious, that it is not selfish and does not seek conflict.
It is gentle means that it seeks to help everyone. Open to reason means accepting all points of view. Is merciful, is compassionate, kind, affable, benevolent, benedicent.
It is impartial, that is, seeks the truth, it is objective. It is sincere, it is not false, it is based on the truth of the facts. The wisdom from above bear good fruits: "love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control" , Galatians 5:22-23.
The wisdom that comes from above is that wisdom that comes from the spiritual gift of prophecy or counsel: listen (perceive with attention), meditate with intuition and inspiration, decide with discernment. Examples are Luke 20:25, John 8:7, 1 Kings 3:16-28.
This description of the wisdom that comes from above, from the gift of counsel is very similar to the description of the love of charity: "Charity is patient, charity is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self- seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs", 1 Corinthians 13:4.
This similarity has its origin in that the wisdom that comes from above and the love of charity are perfections of god: "be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect" Matthew 5:48
