Fire in our lives - parable and
There was one holy fool met Haroun al-Rashid of Baghdad.
Where are you coming from, wanderer? - asked the ruler.
From hell, - he replied.
And what did you do there? - I needed a fire to light a pipe, and I decided to ask if the inhabitants of hell will share it with me.
- Well, and how, did you take the fire? - Asked Haroun al-Rashid. "
No, hell’s ruler replied that they did not have it. I, of course, asked, how is it? To which the owner of hell answered:
I tell you, we do not have a fire here, everyone comes with their own.
And now try to think how often we keep our own fire inside us: all our thoughts and wishes, developed ruled, odd ideas. We constantly live in the middle of our own firepit, feeding a flame with our negativities, rude words, bad wishes and thoughts. We are creating our own hell now… in our own lives
Please, stop do this! I know it’s very difficult to stop to do all those things together. But you can start with eliminating one at a time. One by one and we would start to live in the better space.

Однажды один юродивый повстречал Гарун аль-Рашида Багдадского.
— Ты откуда идёшь, странник? — спросил правитель.
— Из ада, — ответил тот.
— И что же ты делал там?
— Нужен был огонь, чтобы раскурить трубку, и я решил спросить, не поделятся ли жители ада им со мной.
— Ну, и как, взял огня? — спросил Гарун аль-Рашид.
— Нет, тамошний царь ответил, что у них нет его. Я, конечно, спросил, как же так? На что хозяин ада ответил: «Говорю тебе, у нас нет здесь огня, каждый приходит со своим собственным».

Я размышляла об этой притче - как часто мы создаем свой собственный ад уже сейчас, своими мыслями, поступками, крутимся как белка в колесе устаревших правил и догм. Задумайтесь что лично создает ваш собственный ад уже сегодня. Новости ли СМИ, родительские надо не надо. Мы постоянно живем в клетке наших представлений, добавляя жара в этот костер своими неумными желаниями и сожалениями о чем-то.
Давайте остановимся и перестанем подкидывать дрова в этот огонь. Конечно мы не сможем взять и убрать сразу все. но постепенно день за днем, вещь за вещью мысль за мыслью мы можем изменить вокруг себя, начав вытаскивать ветки и угли былых ссор, обид и глупых желаний из наших тел. Просто начните. И мир изменится

"Everyone comes with their own fire." Wow! Brilliant. Absolutely true. We bring ourselves wherever we go, no matter if its heaven or hell, it is our own creation.

This is so important to remember. It's hard to be your own advocate at times but if you don't care for yourself no one else will for you.
Thank you for sharing this, is there a way that you remind yourself to be mindful about the way you are feeding thoughts to yourself? I always try to just be a non judgmental "cool friend" to myself especially during the harder times.
for me this parable is great reminder for us what we build a hell or a heaven for yourself now. There are all our everyday choices
Как я понял из этой притчи - нельзя сожалеть о совершенном.
Если честно, мне нравится некоторые события оставлять гореть и поддавать им жару. Это мне напоминает, как нельзя быть простодушным и слабым. Мечты и жар мне дают немалую силу и мотивацию для осуществления своих планов.
но со временем эти пожары тоже выгорят до тла... но если не подбрасывать им постоянно дров, они прогорят быстрее
интересно. Но вот только не обращать внимание вовсе на неудачи и проблемы нельзя.
