Aceh Culture and Tourism Office, Maximize Tourism Promotion

The Aceh Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar) expressed a commitment to continue to increase the promotion of tourist attractions in the local area, as part of an effort to increase tourist visits, both from within and from abroad, to the province of Aceh in particular.
According to the Head of the Aceh Disbudpar Almuniza Kamal, they will continue to introduce various tourist spots in the area through various means, including promotion, branding, and socialization of the various available tourist events and attractions.
By doing this, they hope to attract travelers to visit Aceh and enjoy all the beauty it has to offer.
"We will continue to strengthen promotion and branding and increase socialization of the various activities that will be held throughout 2023 so that people at home and abroad can find out about it," said Head of the Aceh Disbudpar Almuniza Kamal.
He explained that through promotion, branding and outreach, these various events will be an interesting part of tourists visiting Aceh because there are various attractions that are presented to guests who come," he continued.
Throughout 2023 the Aceh Culture and Tourism Office will organize as many as 100 activities which are summarized in the Piasan Nanggroe Treasure and three Kharisma Event Nusantara (Kemenparekraf) attractions, while the attractions held include the Aceh Ramadhan Festival, Aceh Culinary Festival, Sabang Marine Festival, and Aceh Culture Week. which will take place in August.
"The various attractions summarized in the Piasan Nanggroe Khazanah are part of attracting guests to come and visit Aceh," he continued.
He also mentioned that the total number of tourist visits to Aceh in 2022 was 1.7 million people, where the highest international tourist visits to Aceh throughout 2022 were occupied by Sabang with 2,363 people, Aceh Besar, 1,244 people, and Banda Aceh 711 people.
Then the highest visits by domestic tourists in 2022 were occupied by Banda Aceh with 327,458 people, North Aceh with 303,296 people, and Sabang with 251,685 people.
"This year we are targeting the number of domestic and foreign tourists visiting Aceh to reach 2.5 million tourists. God willing, the number will be achieved through the various attractions that have been prepared throughout 2023," he concluded.
