Frozen
This picture doesn’t need much of an explanation - the view outside my window. Freezing rain - something we haven’t seen in a while! The simple task of going to the store down the street gave rise to a heated debate - who’s going to risk life and limb when the road is covered in ice?
Well, it wasn’t that bad. I made it in one piece - walking really careful and slow. Very slow.
I do hope winter is on its way out as I cannot take any more days like this - dull gray with no sign the ice is melting. It’s not like I had anything planned, just the thought there’s really nowhere to go and nothing to do outside!
I know it will pass, I even wrote something to the effect a few days ago, but it’s hard to stay optimistic in a frozen world!
The people complaining about the heat and too much sun are kindly reminded it’s not nice to rub it in to the less fortunate. Grab a beer if you need to cool down!
We will have some mulled wine this evening, but that's hours away... for some reason, it's not socially acceptable to heat up with a nice mug of hot red wine in the middle of the day, not even in this lousy weather!
The worst is still to come. February and March are always the worst here. I do miss my sunny Arizona.
Yes, February has been known to bring epic snowstorms here as well, but I have high hopes for March!

Ahhh, it will soon be wine time! I grew up in icy and snowy conditions so I know of what you speak. Now I live in the south and it is cold even here.
