Be Careful

One needs to be careful when practicing Qi Gong. Just like other specialties, there are trap doors one can fall into without a teacher's guidance.

For instance, going from teacher to teacher could lead someone to have only conflicting views. This could lead someone from one trap door to another. Having only opinions to guide them, they lock themselves further and further away from what they're searching for.

In Qi Gong it is simple. We are practicing to achieve the "Real" Qi Door.

Have the Right Knowledge Before You Begin Practice

Practicing without knowing what one is doing, solidifies the road to what the Chinese call Jau Fo Yup Mo (走火入魔). This occurs because people practice incorrectly disturbing the balance of their natural energies (Qi) -The best example of this is the story of Zen Master, Hakuin - And only a true master is the key to avoiding trap doors and unlocking the real Qi Door, much like the master Hakuin met on his travels.

As an old Zen saying states, "Fish eyes are mixed with pearls, deer are called horses; thus the people who do not understand the ultimate have a hard time making the appropriate distinctions" - From Master Nan Huai Chin

What this basically means is, in anything you study, there are true masters in their field, and then there are also charlatans. At times, and especially with the age of the Internet, we are flooded with an immense amount of information. And a lot of this misinformation could lead you astray.

All I ask is that if you are going to follow these posts, please do NOT mix them with other practices. Please read and re-read the information, and also make comments and ask questions. You require the knowledge first to know what to practice.

The art of Wing Chun Qi Gong is scientific. Learn the theory then practice until you can master it with your body, mind and energy. Simple.
