Windows 11 makes it more difficult for users to change the Default Browser.

Every user of an operating system would want everything to be done easily and simply. One of them is when they want to change the default browser on their device.

For Windows 10 users, they can do this easily by simply opening the link or HTML file and an option will appear where the user can choose the browser they want to choose and there will be an 'Always use this app' option.

But it turns out that this option no longer appears in Windows 11, whose Beta version has been presented to users in the Windows Insider program.

It is stated that now users will not be given a notification choosing a particular browser to be used as the default browser. Files such as HTML, HTM, PDF, to HTTP will be opened by default through the Microsoft Edge application.

Even so, that doesn't mean Windows 11 prohibits users from using browsers other than Microsoft Edge. Users can still change their default browser but now the process is more complicated than usual.

Currently Windows 11 users have to go to the Settings menu and change their default apps individually for each file extension ranging from HTML, HTTP, PDF, XHTML, and others.

But it is not known for sure whether this is just a shortcoming considering Windows 11 is still in beta stage or indeed Microsoft is planning to increase the number of Microsoft Edge users in this way.
