*Tiger mostly likes to be alone. They roam the forest for their prey. Every tiger has its own fixed area in which there is no freedom to penetrate any other tiger. They mark their area with their urine. Many times their area is up to 10,000 square kilometers.

Only the male and female gather in breeding season. Approximately 3½ months of conception occurs and 2-3 cubs are born at a time. Tigress lives with her child. Tiger's children learn to catch prey from their mother only. After two and a half years they start living independently.

Tiger age is around 10-15 years. At the same time, those who live in the Tiger Zoo or Tiger Reserve live for 20 years.

Tiger's scientific name is Panthera Tyigris. It likes to live near forest, bogey area and grasslands. Its ability to hear, smell, and see faster. Tigers are also good swimmers. Due to which they also catch their prey in water.

One thing of Tiger is that very few people know that they do not invariably attack humans. He only hunt humans only when they are not getting their prey for a long time or when they feel threatened.

Smugglers hunt these tigers because they sell their skin, teeth, bones etc. in black market at very high prices. They were killed for the sake of sports, hunting, tradition and medicines. But in 1973, under the Project Tiger Campaign of the Government, solid laws were made to preserve tigers. In spite of this, tigers take the poachers.

The first nine species of tigers were there, which included Bengal Tiger, Siberian, Indochinese, South Chinese, Sumatra, Malayan, Java, Caspian and Bali. But today Java, Caspian and Bali Tiger have become extinct.
