The Platypus
A mysterious animal that is semi-aquatic; building large damns (Protecting their nests) in the current of the waters. The damn/nest is considered a marvel to architecture as it inspired many people to test the durability of the bridges they built,
and changing the way we built bridges for the rest of human history. Here are a few less amazing facts...
The platypus is only found in eastern Australia in small rivers and streams within the states of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. Too bad then, if you are living in every other country in the world:(
The average length of a male platypus is 50 cm (20 inches), well... bigger than a baby! Oh, that's not very helpful is it?
Finally, The platypus eats about 20% of its own weight in food each day. Wow more than me?
The platypus is usually nocturnal, coming out at night to feed, sometimes they are also active on days.
This is what a platypus looks like...
