RE: THE WILD-MAN'S WILD FRIENDS VIDEO SERIES - EPISODE 7 - PYGMY RATTLESNAKE

Oh gosh, I love this! I have an animal rescue in Appalachia, and we live on a creek. A whole herd of water pilots live along the banks, and they keep most other species too intimidated to move in on us, except the black rat snakes. I love our snakes here and forbid anyone to harm them. And yes, I handle them when necessary, like last year when a succession of black rat snakes climbed our porch railings after a nest of baby finches. I released all three of those whoppers in the woods. I think I'm going to enjoy your posts. :-)

Finally, I found it! Past bedtime, but googled animal rescue in Appalachia, and this one comment was the only search result. Dang. Popular post, Snake Man! So many comments to scroll through. I love snakes. Years ago I feared our two collies were killing one. I captured it and took it to a nature center. They laughed. Nope, not guts spilling out from a dog bite... those are BABIES. And they said to take mama snake home and put her back where I found her. Eep! She was hissing and striking at me from the bottom of the bucket, but I took her home. And did NOT put her back in the front yard, but on the other side of the fence so my dogs wouldn't pester her again. To this day, I see great big fox snakes and wonder if they're her babies, all grown up now...

You may like this video if you are dealing with multiple snakes at the same time.
