Body Function Mishap - I Won

@debralee is running a contest Body Function Mishap Funny Story, and I thought it is a brilliant idea as we all need a laugh now and then. Can't be serious all the time!

I was about 36 weeks pregnant with my third child when I took my two older children to Walmart one day. As we walked down the isle, we heard farting noises from the lady in front of us.

At first we looked at each other, but the tooting was non-stop, so the children started to laugh and said "she farted, mom".

I thought the elderly lady might get embarrassed, so I called my daughter's name "Annie", as to blame the fart on her.

My daughter yelled "MOM, it is not me; its..."

The lady continued on walking and farting as though she owned the world. At this point I was disgusted and out of patience answering my children's one hundred why questions.

I told them in a loud voice "let's take another way", huffing and puffing the shopping cart, an unexpected noise came out of me at the other end!

The children ran in different directions hollering ewwww...Mine was 10 times louder than hers, so it seemed.

The lady stopped! She turned to look at me.

We stared at each other!

I pointed at my pregnant belly "I have excuse..."

She said "YOU WIN", and trotted on her way unconcerned with her little tooting as she walked.

It was such an embarrassing moment, but as I thought about it later, it was just hilarious. Believe me, my children retold the story to their dad and he too had a good laugh.
