It's better to eat too much than talk too much!

This is a wise quote that I've heard a thousand times from my grandma.

Perhaps this wise old saying had a different meaning 50 - 60 years ago. I can imagine how my grandpa was getting drunk regularly and babbled and talked nonsense. He was probably making excuses for my grandma and those excuses were completely pointless.

Today we have developed communication in way that our old folks didn't have.

So, gossips were traveling from mouth to mouth in those times. They couldn't make a call or write a message, so gossips were spread on the streets. And if you spread slender about someone, many other people heard that. And it could be easily spread across the whole city like the chain reaction. And every person that was involved in spreading of that gossip, added approximately 20% of his own, made - up content. So, after the gossip passed 4 - 5 five mouths, it would take completely different form than on it's beginning.

Second important thing that you can do using your mouth is eating.

So, 50 - 60 years ago, people here didn't have any knowledge about healthy food. The most important was TO HAVE FOOD. So, all people that were fat and were red in faces because of high blood pressure, were considered as healthy people. It was great poverty in this part of world and people who didn't have any food were thin and considered as sick.

Now I can imagine my grandma literally putting food in my grandpa's mouth to prevent him to speak nonsense!

Other important things that you can do with your mouth and organs inside are: breathing, smoking, spitting, licking, sucking, biting and chewing! Thank you!
