Steemit Gaming Challenge: Why Games Are Good
I have been challenged by @retro-room and @darth-azrael to contribute to a gaming challenge, where we talk about 4 games that defined our lives..
Here we go!
M.U.L.E. on the Atari 800
This was the holy grail of games on the Atari 800 for me. I still play it!
Robotron 2084
Tekken on the Playstation 1
Day of Defeat - Half Life MOD
Wow I need some retro time! Ok now who should I challenge?
@kittyandcheese
@zekepickleman
@evileddy
@overkillcoin
@kaliju
@broncnutz
PLEASE DON'T FEEL YOU HAVE TO DO THIS!
Respect to @retro-room and @darth-azrael for calling me out!<

Paradroid for c64 was a simple but very fun game for me.. you are a robit and shoot other robits or take them over in this little mini game.. all playable from a single joystick that had a single button.
Suicide train was just good for reflexes!
Tie Fighter got my space flying skills up to par!
Then I seen this:
and my world was changed.. I took out a 3800 dollar loan to buy my first 486-DX2 with 4MB RAM 420mb HD and played so many hours killing Nazis!
Wow great choices! Wolfenstien
Interesting choices! I've always wondered about MULE, but I have no clue what its about. Something about a space camel, for what I can tell. Robotron is an absolute classic. The dual joystick control scheme was revolutionary at the time.
Thanks! M.U.L.E. is one of those games that once you get it, it is amazing.
I love Robotron and its spiritual successor, Smash TV! M.U.L.E. is still one of those games I need to get around to trying one of these days...
Robotron is one of those games that really pushed the hardware.
Aw, man...this is going to take some thinking...
I think I can guess one of them!
All of these are such awesome choices, @sequentialvibe. HUGE props for the inclusion of M.U.L.E.! I never played Day of Defeat, probably because my internet connection back then was still dial-up, but I'm familiar enough with it to know it was a game changer in so many ways. :)
Thanks for the props on M.U.L.E.!
Funny you should ask... ;)
