Weekend Activity | 提前庆祝老爹的生日 Advance Birthday Celebration for Dad - miniu

Hello Steemians.

好一段时间我没有好好写长文了。就连steemit的活动都好少参加。这个月，我的目标是完成我的博士论文，至少90%。所以，全副心思都投入在这里。请为我祷告。挺煎熬的。😣

It has been a while for not writing a longer post. I hope that I can finish more than 90% of my work by this month so pay full attention on writing PhD thesis has become my priority. Please pray for me. 😣

无论如何，上个周末，我还是抽出时间回家一趟。

Anyway, I managed to go home and spend some time with my family last weekend.

我家老爹的生日本是在六月的第三个星期。但是，我那个礼拜没空回去。所以，这次回家，想要给他一个惊喜 - 提前为他庆祝生日。

My dad's birthday is actually on third week of June. But, I am not available that time, so, we decided to give him a surprise.

身为一名马来西亚华人，我们是有两个生日日期的: 一个是阳历（全世界通用），一个是农历（华人有时候用 - 比如选日子结婚、搬家等）。

As a Malaysian Chinese, we are having two birthday dates. One is solar calendar, which is the standard that has been used internationally and another one is lunar calendar, which will be used by some of the Chinese - choosing date for marriage, move house, etc.

上个星期六其实是我老爹的农历生日，但是他并不知道。毕竟，我们习惯庆祝阳历的生日了～

Last Saturday was his lunar birthday, he didn't know about it as we are so used to solar calendar.

虽然他是老爹，可他很喜欢史努比 🐶 所以，我们便向做蛋糕的朋友订制了一个微甜的巧克力蛋糕。

He likes Snoopy so we bought a customized slight sweet chocolate cake for him from our Baker friend.

毫无疑问的，这个惊喜是成功的啦～他完全没有预料到呢～

And no doubt, he was so surprised. Mission accomplished! 😆
