本想早点回家和妈妈一起吃她辛苦包制的粽子，怎么知道哥哥有点偏小伤风而得在家休息，就轮到我去看看爸爸的情况，却不知为何突然大塞车, 搞得近九点晚上才到家。

这么晚了还是别吃得太重不助消化，感谢食物银行 @dbfoodbank 所供应的冻藏迷你年糕，试煮它好让可以教导定量接收者如何用对的方式煮而不会倒塌浪费。

不会太过甜，一口就入的迷你年糕可带来贫苦家庭们小小的安喜。

These mini mochi though are approaching near expiry and were donated for the recipients and I was blessed to test out one in order to teach the non Chinese speaking recipients on how to cook them, they are still tasting fresh after cooking them correctly. I tried a batch before with steaming thinking they were like frozen nonya "Ang Ku Kueh" but it was a disaster.

These green ones have sweet red bean paste as filling; but I seemed to have learned that Western part of the world especially UK don't associate beans with sweetness, while Malaysians and other Eastern Asian countries are very common with this.

While Westerners usually associate beans with... Chilli 🌶

Interesting how different cultures treat the same ingredient differently.
