Proton X70 to carry our pride

Proton, marked the first national car for Malaysia, it carried our pride, our visions and our dream through time. Despite of its mismanagement, over the years it has been suffered, but somehow it miraculously survived until today.

The vehicle in front, is a Proton X70. It is actually a rebadged version of Geely Boyue. Funny isn't it? Aren't Proton started with rebadge vehicles back in the 80s? And then, we grow bigger and decided we want our own design, our own engine, and even went on and bought Lotus, bought Volvo and guess what? All those vehicle didn't sell as well as our old rebadged Mitsubishi's.

Until Proton was co-own(yeah gotta call it that way, it's our pride) by China Geely, and instantaneously found the problem, stopped the non-sense. Why would it be important to carry flamboyant name for the vehicle series if they can't live up their standard? No more fighter's name as vehicle model. From now on, they'll have to go with codes.

Boyue - 博越, broadly advanced. A very wide vision of going forward.

Hopefully whatever pride that left with our national car maker be able to continue the legend, and strive to be better with X70, a rebadged version a Chinese car.
