Choose to workout in the morning

I haven't been doing morning walk during the weekday since many years ago. Although I'm still doing the walk on weekend and sometimes during public holiday, but I recon it's not enough.

So I took the initiative to kick myself off the bed earlier today. Before sun was up, I already got some chores done, and went out for a walk. This is a short interval run, so it only shows 800m on the trip counter, because the rests in between I'm also doing brisk walking, but it didn't count.

This reminds me of why people choose to workout in the morning. That's the least excuse and least distraction time for our body to sweat. Other than laziness, there's nothing to stop us from working out in the morning despite busy schedule.

Imagine, if you try to fix an evening walk after office hour, what do you get? Lots of uncertainty. Could be client appointment, could be a meeting in the office, could be traffic jam, could be friend stopping by for a visit, so many more possibilities!

As Chinese old saying goes, 一日之計在於晨. Plan the day in the morning.
