When we look at Steem with our eyes open we see that there are roughly 20 000 accounts posting fairly frequently. that isn't a heck of a lot compared to how many accounts that have been opened. I understand the retention levels are low as getting ones head around this place isn't for everyone. Steem is at a low price so the incentive isn't there for some it seems.
Steem is climbing back up Coin market Cap and from outside the top 50 we are currently back at 40. Going in the right direction and when we look at what is out there Steem has loads to offer. Steem is just a speck in the ocean right now and we are at number 40 and if somehow more specks got added and we became a much bigger speck where could we be then?
I was reading @taskmaster's post today about the Dapp @wherein which is running on the Steem block chain. This Dapp is for the Chinese market and possibly will open up a new market that has basically been untapped. Lets be honest no market has been touched really, so any market out there is untapped. The Chinese market is different though as they have had restrictions in place for years over internet access etc. Certain sites were just off limits and if @wherein can pull this off it is huge.
It wouldn't take much to take Steem from being a player to a major player. One or two things need to fall into place and a powder keg would have been lit. I have said in previous posts that the users on here represent the ratio of 1 Steemian to 84 000 internet users worldwide.The figure I worked on was for an average of over 80 000 users and not what has been reported recently of 20 000. One or two things need to just click and that ratio will drop drastically and so will the platform.
Pity about the Samsung thing being just a rumor as they launch their new phone next month. Just a coincidence things are changing at pace on here as that would be something.

Yes, we Anglos often forget about the huge Crypto communities in China, Korea & Japan, including big communities on Steem.
Nice to move back into the top 40 though. It just feels a bit better. I read the post too and it looks like a promising app in a big market. Hopefully it does well and gets some support.
