The Diary Game: 4 August 2020: Lunar Day 15

Today just a normal day , and luckily get through the tough days yesterday. Today the line status is back to within control and able to plan the work properly.

Yet today is a tuesday so our department is having weekly meeting on this day . I used to hate it very much because the bosses will just ask questions and progress of works which to them, it sounds like just a change of excel tab from "Week xx" to "Done". Most of the time, the "Done" status change is cost you the whole week to complete, but on the excel sheet, it's just a change of color/words which can be done within 3 seconds.

But since my role has little bit change, I no longer be answerable to many tasks. I become quite like meeting because it's the official time to take rest. Meet for nothing. As covid19 is still here to spread, doing a teleconferencing meeting is just too good to be true. We can simply just day dream/ online in the meeting room with all peers engineers, only attended to items that concern you. Imagine if in the meeting room, who dares to do so?

Today also the lunar day 15, where many people in Singapore/Malaysia would take a day of vegetarian meals. Usually the favourite vegetarian stall that nearby my company will always get sold off most of the dishes by 1pm. Today my luck was just good , I saw the stall owner still busy serving the patrons , so I guess they would have prepared more food for today surge of vegetarian meal demand. Luckily still get to enjoy the vegetarian lunch though today was a bit later.

But dinner time, was not that lucky anymore. We planned to go a vegetarian restaurant but upon reaching, We saw huge crowd was waiting for packing outside the restaurant. We knew it gonna be super long queue today as lunar day 15.

Counter waiter told us we have to wait for 45 minutes before reaching our turn, somemore it's a take-away. So we decided not to buy from restaurant considered the huge queue. We rather come other days for their food.

Ended up we went to Subway, which is always our backup plan for such long queue day for vegetarian meals. A promo set of meal together with drink and cookies is at SGD5.90. Don't you find it worthy ?
