The Diary Game 09 July 2020: Cooling Off Day and Property Webinar

Today so called cooling off day in Singapore so all parties not supposed to have any election promotional activities.

As such, today after off from work, it's like going for long weekend holiday because tomorrow voting day , company to issue all employee a holiday- This year to have an extra holiday due to election. To celebrate this, dinner we went to a nearby restaurant for stir-fried fishlet rice set.

At night , joined a webinar that titled property investment in Islandar Malaysia particularly in Horizon Hill , as this event sponsored by the developer. Ryan Khoo is one of the earliest property investor guru that became famous in Singapore as he's among the firtst investor to conduct property investment speciaziling in Iskandar Malaysia.

But I do have my own thinking about investment in Johor, particularly after hit by the pandemic season. I think the atmosphere in investing foreign country particularly to this Iskandar Malaysia has been changed -Singaporeans starts to think , do we really have the need to invest a weekend home in foreign land , especially both countries lock down their borders. If they have any property in Iskandar now, the property will now be left over nobody take care, you need to continue to serve the mortgage loan , and left the foreign property empty unable to enjoy, while you yourself struggle to survive your job secuity in home country.

I dont believe it's only me to think this way, so the sentiment to invest foreign land for sure take a big hit and deter the wish to invest. The property market in Iskandar for sure take longer time to recovery to restore the local interest for bigger home and space- Who wants a home that can see but cannot enjoy? might as well just rent the house and surrender anytime if needed.
